Joshua Ram

  • Biography

Joshua Ram is an experienced legal professional with skills in open-source investigation, social media, public speaking, and local, state, and international research. He is motivated by a passion and commitment to justice, fairness, international law, and the arts. His combination of legal, political, and media experience, and an interest in the societal impact of emerging technologies, is especially relevant to his work at the firm, where he focuses on its generative artificial intelligence litigation

Josh was recently a paralegal for a San Francisco-based boutique litigation firm. While there, he prepared, edited, and proofread legal correspondence, written discovery, and court filings; assisted with preparation for court hearings, arbitrations, depositions, and trials, and engaged in e-discovery and legal research. Before that, he was a legal assistant for a San Francisco-based immigration firm, at which he assisted attorneys with preparation of H-1B, N-1, and student visas.  

Josh is an open source investigator for the volunteer-led Open Source Intelligence for Ukraine. For his work, in 2024 he was nominated by his colleagues and received an Award/Certificate of Excellence for exceptional professionalism and achievement as a specialist and manager. 

Josh is a former news intern for the San Francisco Standard and a freelance reporter for Bay Area publications. He has been a field organizer and campaign volunteer trainer for various political organizations. After college, he completed a course in foundational open source investigations at the University of California Berkeley Law School, UC Berkeley Human Rights Center.
