The Joseph Saveri Law Firm, LLP litigated and investigated an alleged anticompetitive conspiracy involving manufacturers of inductors, a widely-used passive electronic component. The investigation indicated, and the complaint alleged, that inductor manufacturers unlawfully agreed to fix the price of inductors shipped or invoiced to U.S. purchasers.

The firm developed information indicating that certain inductor manufacturers conspired and successfully inflated the price of electronic inductors from approximately 2002 through 2015, in violation of federal and state antitrust laws, including Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act. As a result, on February 8, 2018, the firm filed a Class Action Complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of plaintiff Five Rivers Electronic Innovations, LLC against defendants Kemet, Murata, TOKO, Okaya, Panasonic, SANYO, Sumida, Taiyo Yuden, TDK, TOKIN, and Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).

The firm has substantial expertise and experience litigating price-fixing and other antitrust violations by passive electronic components manufacturers, including capacitors and resistors. The firm serves as court-appointed interim lead class counsel for the direct purchasers in In re Capacitors Antitrust Litigation.
