Joseph Saveri and Joshua Davis of the Joseph Saveri Law Firm spoke today at the University of Haifa’s (Israel) 3rd International Conference: Dispute Resolution of Consumer Mass Disputes, Collective Redress, Class Action, and ADR.
Joe spoke before a panel covering “Competition And Securities Class Actions.” Joshua spoke before a panel exploring “The Role of Lawyers and Funders—Ethical Issues And Effectiveness For Class Members.”
Held by the University’s Faculty of Law, the conference dealt with global developments and international co-operation in class actions, as well as the use of technical devices and statistics. It covered different areas of law supported by class actions, including human rights, consumer law, competition, banking, and insurance.
The conference was organized jointly with several distinguished academic institutions, and was sponsored by leading law firms and practitioners around the globe. It focused primarily on international consumer disputes and hosted a number of scholars and practitioners from different jurisdictions, including the United States, Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
